Great helmet for a low price

Review Date: December 3, 2008
Reviewer: D. Louie, New Jersey, USA
This was my first helmet ever purchased. The weight is OK. The fit was just right. It comes with 2 sets of cheek pads one thick and one thin. I used the helmet for my learner's course which was in the rain and cold and it worked fine. The visor did fog up, but that was expected. For $40 bucks you can't go wrong..just measure your head to get the right size.
helmet.

Being a new Motorcycle rider. This purchase was a good one. The helmet is very comfortable and easy to take on and off. Padding is not too hot. The air vents really help air flow. I would recomend it.
Nice helmet

This was my first helmet too. I ordered two of them (one for me and one for my girlfriend and friends to use). It fits everyone else just fine but I sort of have a big head so it's a little snug but i'll be alright. I ordered a mediums but I didn't receive a different set of cheek pads like the other reviewer.

Roketa MC54 250B Scooter

Review Date: October 20, 2009
Reviewer: Harold D. Williams,
I bought this scooter about 13 months ago. I have only a little over 1300 miles on it. I have changed the oil 2 times and the gear lube 1 time. Other than being a little slow to start when cold, and a slight vibration at 65mph, I have very few compliants. The tire valve stems have very delicate cores in them, easy to bend and don't take air very well. I plan to replace them both soon with better quality stems and cores.
My wife and I both enjoy cruising out in the North Carolina countryside, cruising the Blue Ridge Pkwy, and running errands on the Roketa. Over all, I would recommend this scooter if you don't want to put a lot of money in one. I may upgrade to a Yamaha 400 or 700 cc, only because of the added power, since we ride double.

Scooters for Mobility and Freedom

Mobility scooters come in different makes and models so when reviewing and researching it may lead up to more questions and some confusion. A mobility scooter can give you the ability to get around without the aid of other people. Electric mobility carts come in many different choices including 3 and 4 wheel models. Read reviews and research your options before buying a mobility scooter.

Quite a few light capacity mobility scooters have a maximum load of 250 pounds. A certain amount of light weight models can be broken down into a few sections or folded for easy transport in a vehicle. Many high capacity electric mobility scooters may require an electric lift. Always check with your insurance before buying or making that purchase.

Quite a few low capacity scooters consist of 3 wheel models. These scooters can maneuver tighter areas such as grocery isles and around the house but are more prone to tipping. 4 wheel models tend to be more stable are not likely to tip unless on a steep grade. They are likely to have a greater range and if for outdoor use this is where a 4 wheel electric mobility scooter shines. There are many factors to consider when choosing an electric mobility scooter, range and battery capacity are worth considering.

Also consider range and charging if you have a short range you will be spending more time charging. At some point you may need to replace batteries. Over time a rechargeable battery will lose its ability to take a full charge and your range could decrease.

With range on the 3 wheel lightweight mobility scooters you can expect about 10 mile range. On 4 wheel higher capacity models you may be looking at a range of about 25 miles or more. It all depends on the brand and model.

When purchasing a mobility scooter you have to ask yourself what you will be using it for. Is it for indoor or outdoor use. Will you be using it primarily indoors, to get around the golf course or make trips down to the local grocery store to pick up groceries. If you are picking up several bags of groceries you may need one with further range and capacity and this would apply to golf and because of the weight of the bag and clubs. Depending on your lifestyle you may require more than one mobility scooter.

Consider tires or pneumatic tires that may be prone to flats but are lighter and give a better ride due to their ability to absorb shocks. Solid core tires are not prone to flats but give a stiffer ride but also wear much longer. Air filled tires will need to be checked often. Again depending on the use or your scooter such as indoors or out and the surfaces you travel on will determine what tires you travel on.

When you buy a mobility scooter there are many issues to consider and review. It is best to check Medicare or you insurance provider to see if your covered. If you have done your research and reviewed your options you will find that shopping for and electric mobility scooter is not that confusing.

My mobility scooter has a 270W motor. It operates with two 12V 12AH batteries. The battery charger works only with 110 current. Voltage converters seem to be rated by watts. What capacity voltage converter would I need to purchase to recharge my batteries in Europe? I don't want to tote around any more bulk or weight than necessary. Same question for a 450W scooter.

…scooter?

i wanna buy a new scooter. just regular kick scooter thats normal size for a 5'3 guy. around how much do these cost?
