How Do I Kick Start A Vespa Et4?

I have lost my manual, and have never had to do it before, so I don't know if I'm supposed to hold the brake or not, the throttle or not, how hard I should kick & what I should listen for, if anything.
Any advice?

my husband has a vespa, i`ll ask him when he gets home…watch this space!
first of all use your foot
kick it over until you hear a constant droaning noise(that will be the engine running) DO NOT TRY TO RIDE OFF UNTIL YOU HEAR THE NOISE IT COULD RESULT IN INJURY
First put on ballet shoes. Place foot tenderly on kick start, lovingly take hold of the throttle with forefinger and thumb and turn ever such a teensie weensie towards you and………….
There is nothing wrong with a Vespa that a heavy duty crusher and a cutting torch cannot put right.
Unfortunately, many of those modern Vespa kick starters I’ve seen never work.
